Who should consider exhibiting at this fair? We are looking for a variety of public health focused organizations who have interest in the Diversity Matters mission of a sufficient and diverse public health workforce in Wisconsin.
We are looking for public health/health care organizations who are willing to offer development opportunities to high school and college students through internships, volunteer opportunities or careers. We also strongly encourage public health focused academic programs to consider exhibiting at this fair.
Directions to UEC at Riverside Park
Visit Milwaukee County Transit System‘s website and use the Google Trip Planner to get door to door directions to your Riverside Park location by bus! We are located along the Green line express route. Get off the bus at Park Place (2600 block of Oakland). Walk west on Park Place for two blocks. The Urban Ecology Center will be on the right.
The Urban Ecology Center is located on the Oak Leaf Recreational Trail. Take the trail from the south past North Avenue. You will see our building on your right; it’s the one with an observation tower. From the North take the trail past Locust Street and Riverside High School. Check out the following link for a map of the Oak Leaf Recreational Trail for options from your location.
There is a parking lot for visitors to both the Urban Ecology Center and Riverside Park. When driving west follow Park Place past the Urban Ecology Center over the bridge and turn left to enter the parking lot.
This event is hosted by Diversity Matters – a statewide initiative with the goal of increasing the diversity of Wisconsin’s public health workforce by inspiring African American and Hispanic students in middle school, high school and college to pursue a career in public health. Diversity Matters is funded wholly by the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
